Answer: The High Court is the highest judicial body in a State. Article 214 of the Constitution provides that there shall be a High Court for each State. A Judge of the High Court holds the office until he completes the age of 62 years. Every Judge of a High Court is appointed by the President in consultation with the Chief Justice of India, the Governor of the State and also the Chief Justice of that High Court.
