On December 21, IIM Bangalore announced the results of CAT 2022 on iimcat.ac.in. Afterwards, IIMs and other MBA institutions will reveal the CAT 2022 cut-off and depending on it, potential students will be chosen for further admission stages. A few IIMs have already made available their PGP/ PGDM admission regulations along with the necessary CAT cut-off on their official website.
In order to be chosen by an Indian Institute of Management (IIM), applicants must surpass the CAT cut-off requirement for that specific IIM. In addition to the IIMs, there are more than a thousand top-tier business schools that select candidates based on their CAT result. The selection procedure for the CAT 2022 intake of IIMs will comprise of a Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and a Personal Interview.
Calculate CAT percentile and search for institutes- After checking CAT result candidates must begin their college screening process. Candidates should focus on shortlisting B-schools that they wish to apply for.
Apply for admission in B-school- After shortlisting B-school, candidates should fill out and submit the MBA admission form of colleges before the application process deadline.
Admission criteria of top B-schools- The admission process of top B-schools includes two rounds.
Prepare requisite documents- At the time of MBA, admission selection rounds candidates will have to bring requisite documents which include a graduation certificate, class 10 and 12 mark sheet, and work experience (if any).
Specialization selection- At the time of selection institute, it is necessary that candidates also select their preferred MBA specialization. Most of the candidates first choose the college and then select a specialization, this is actually the correct approach. Basically, when choosing an MBA specialization, candidates just need to be clear about what they actually want.
Prepare for GD/ PI/ WAT- As specified above, after clearing CAT 2022 exam and applying for Bschool candidates will have to appear for further selection rounds. Nowadays, prior work experienced candidates are getting preference and have additional points for that as well. Hence, those who do not have prior work experience should immensely focus on the selection round and prepare for the same.
