According to authorities, a search operation has begun to find the suspect after a 15-year-old Dalit kid who was beaten by his instructor passed away from his injuries. Class 10 student Nikit Kumar, who attends a neighbourhood inter-college on Phaphond Road near the Achalda police station, claims that his social sciences instructor Ashwini Singh beat him on September 7 because he made mistakes on an exam. He was taken to a hospital, where he passed away on Monday, according to the police. The accused instructor had been charged under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and related laws, including the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act, according to Bidhuna Circle Officer Mahendra Pratap Singh.
Chandrashekhar Malviya, the district inspector of schools, claimed that the school principal had been given the go-ahead to suspend the guilty instructor. According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Charu Nigam, teams were organised to apprehend the missing instructor after a case was filed.
The teacher allegedly beat his kid with sticks and kicked him so severely that he passed out in class, according to the deceased’s father Raju Dohra. The family members were initially threatened when they arrived at the school. Dohra claimed that when the boy’s condition deteriorated, the instructor took him to Etawah, where Saifai PGI (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science) was recommended to him. The school was shut down as soon as the student’s death was reported, according to the authorities. A little while later, Bhim Army protesters went to the boy’s home.
Locals protested in front of the school as soon as the student’s body arrived in an ambulance. The police added that more personnel had to be sent in to contain the protestors. They claimed that the demonstrators also set a police vehicle on fire and damaged the district magistrate’s vehicle after he arrived at the scene to calm the crowds. After the SP arrived, the situation was brought under control.
The victim’s parents were met by District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Srivastava, who promised action. The police added that action would be taken against individuals who started the commotion after Inspector General of Police Prashant Kumar also arrived and assessed the situation. The inter-principal colleges claimed he had been on leave since September 5 and arrived on Tuesday after learning of the incident. After speaking with senior district administrators, the family had decided to cremate the youngster, and Circle Officer Singh told PTI that they were taking the body for the student’s final rites.
Congresswoman Priyanka Gandhi sought action in response to the event. “It is unacceptable that a Dalit student in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, died after being beaten. The student fought for life or death for 19 days, but the authorities were unable to apprehend the offender. This incident is not the first of its kind. After all, the government’s law and order system would function as a laxity instead of taking immediate action?, “She stated in a Hindi tweet.
