UP committee recommends issuing letters of intent for establishing 2 private universities

According to officials, a government committee recommended creating two private institutions in the state of Uttar Pradesh on Monday. Three ideas were submitted at a meeting of a high-level committee that was established for creating universities in the private sector and is led by the chief secretary, Durga Shankar Mishra, according to an official spokesperson. Following discussion, the committee recommended awarding letters of intent to two new private universities: Saroj International University in Lucknow and JBM Global University in Gautam Budh Nagar.

Chief Secretary Mishra stated in his speech that all suggestions for the creation of private institutions should be brought to the committee within the allotted time period following the examination. It should be assured that institutions with outstanding formalities finish them as soon as possible.
