The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has invited applications for direct recruitment to the post of Architectural Assistant / Planning Assistant in the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Subordinate Service from qualified candidates. The application forms are available on the Commission’s official website, and the deadline to submit them is October 23.
There will be a total of four positions filled.
Candidates with a master’s degree in town planning, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a bachelor’s degree in architecture, or Associate Membership of the Institute of Town Planners of India, Institute of Architects of India, or A.M.I.E (Civil), which is Associate Member of the Institute of Engineers (India).
A written exam and an interview will be used to select candidates. On January 8, 2022, written exams will be held in Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli, Salem, Thanjavur, and Vellore.
“Subject to the rule of reservation of appointments, the final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the applicants in the written examination and oral test taken together. Appearance in the written and oral examinations is required of all applicants. Even if a candidate achieves the minimum qualifying marks for selection, he or she will not be considered for selection if he or she has not appeared for any of the subjects in the written examination or Oral Test,” the Commission stated.
