The National Testing Agency (NTA) has chosen to release the dates for various national-level examinations (which are for entrance into engineering, medicine, UG and PG courses) for the academic year 2023-24 well ahead of time to ensure that postponements and clashes between exams are avoided.
Due to the disruptions caused by COVID-19, multiple exams had to be postponed after students asked for it multiple times last year. To avoid similar issues this time, the government created expert teams to come up with a yearly timetable for JEE Main 2023, NEET 2023, and CUET 2023 tests.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revealed “back-up dates” for JEE Mains 2023 and CUET 2023. Though they haven’t gone into detail concerning what these reserve dates are, it is assumed that they could be used if the examination needs to be delayed.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the registration for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2023), with the exam dates announced on December 15. The first session of the engineering entrance exam will take place from January 24 to 31 and the second session from April 6 to 12, 2023. Students can submit the JEE Main application form 2023 via jeemain.nta.nic.in.
In response to student requests, the NTA has made some major alterations to the JEE Mains 2023 exams, including reinstating the 75% criteria in Class 12 exams for qualification and raising the JEE Main registration fees, as well as decreasing the number of exam cities available. Those who missed their chance to take the exam due to a lack of preparation time can now check the JEE Main 2023 eligibility via the link provided.
The NEET UG 2023 exam will take place on May 7, as announced on December 15 late at night. The National Testing Agency, responsible for the most significant medical entrance exam, is likely to publish the registration dates and notification shortly on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. On average, approximately 16 lakhs of individuals enroll each year.
Last year, the NEET exam took place on July 17, but the NTA has elected to host the 2023 NEET on May 7; two months before. With the start of the academic year being postponed due to COVID, the choice to have the exams earlier this time is to prevent any further postponement.
The University Grants Commission implemented the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) last year for placement into central universities, and afterwards, several private universities showed interest in utilizing the CUET results for undergraduate and postgraduate admission. The CUET 2023 exams will take place from May 21st to the 31st for the upcoming academic year.
The launch of CUET exam 2022 was met with much debate and technical issues, prompting UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar to declare that the panel would assess the infrastructure of the test centres for CUET and focus on rectifying the technological issues.
