A total of 22 students from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna have gained international offers during the phase 1 of the 2023 placement season. 7 people were granted the highest domestic package of Rs 82.05 lakh, and the average package offered was Rs 29.30 lakh. In total, 281 offers were presented to the students of IIT Patna. The second phase of the placement session is expected to begin in the second week of January 2023.
This year, IIT Patna students have been presented with a total of 72 pre-placement offers (PPOs), which is a 44 percent rise from the 50 they received last year. Additionally, 20 of these offers have a pay package of above 50 lakh rupees and 50 of them are above 40 lakh rupees.
Up to now, 95 organizations from the software and IT, finance and banking, analytics and consulting, core engineering, e-commerce, automobile, infrastructure, manufacturing and health care sectors have employed students for different roles. The major employers were from core engineering, IT/software, finance and consulting industries.
This year, a number of renowned businesses featured in the placement drive, including Google, Atlassian, DE Shaw, Adobe, Arista Network, Sprinklr, Texas Instrument, Amazon, Oracle, Rakuten Mobile, and Intuit. Additionally, over 20 new companies made their debut in the campus recruitment, including Denso Corporation, Edfora, 26 Miles Capital, Titan-DirectI, Javis.ai, WDC, EXL Service, and C-Dot.
Prof. T N Singh, the Director of IIT Patna, declared that the institute’s powerful academic program, combined with the students’ substantial technical abilities and leadership abilities, are the causes of this exceptional success. He mentioned that the job profiles available range from software engineer, hardware engineer, application engineer, product engineer, quant analyst, data scientist, digital consultant, manager, infrastructure analyst, machine learning engineer, digital engineer, decision analyst, consulting, management trainee, GET (Graduate Engineer Trainee), PGET, product manager and others.
