The Punjab government established a centralised admission portal for admissions to government colleges in the state associated with Panjab University, Chandigarh, Punjabi University, Patiala, and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Gurmeet Singh: Meet Hayer, the minister for higher education in Punjab, stated that “the Punjab government is working swiftly to ensure children obtain online facilities to make study-related endeavours easier.”
The government today launched a centralised admission portal for admissions in government colleges affiliated with Punjab, Punjabi, and Guru Nanak Dev Universities in “a unique initiative to realise the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s dream of providing online facilities to the students of the state,” Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer wrote in a tweet.
The Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA), Chandigarh, hosted the official launch of the Punjab centralised admission portal, admission.punjab.gov.in. The portal will provide information on the application process, schedule, key dates, seat matrix, and much more for undergraduate and graduate students. The portal also contains instructions for applicants for UG and PG Admission 2022–23. Students can access video tutorials on the portal in addition to the portion that contains admission notification information to better comprehend the admissions procedure.
The portal will also act as a focal point for applicants to the state’s admissions process. According to a report, they will just need to submit one application form to apply to numerous government colleges in Punjab. The platform will serve as a one-stop shop for the application procedure as well. The start and finish dates for admission in the particular college to which a candidate is applying will be disclosed to them.
