Vineet Joshi, the Director-General of the National Testing Agency (NTA), has confirmed that the dates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 will not be released this week, according to an Indian Express report. The NTA also said that the JEE Main 2023 registration process will not commence this week, the report stated.
A representative of the National Testing Agency (NTA) said that the JEE Main 2023 exams are likely to happen in two stages in the middle of January and April, but the demands of the applicants to have the exams in April are hard to meet due to the delay it would cause in the beginning of the next academic year. Learners requested the NTA to have the exam in April or May as those who are repeating the year did not have enough time to get ready.
The Ministry of Education is anticipated to declare the new arrangements this week to systematize the process and evade irregularities. These new plans are predicted to include standardizing the JEE Main exams as well as the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) and Common University Entrance Test (CUET) starting in 2023.
In November, the National Testing Agency (NTA) set up two expert panels to address the technical difficulties encountered by test-takers in 2022. The first committee is developing a yearly calendar of JEE Main, CUET, and NEET to keep the dates from overlapping, while the second committee is assessing the infrastructure of the exam centres. The panels consist of experts from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), central universities, and personnel with experience in administering exams.
