NLU, Tripura has informed the Consortium of National Law Universities that it will not be involved in the admissions process for the 2023-24 academic year. CLAT 2023 scores will not be accepted for admission to BA LLB and LLM programmes, and the university has been removed from the NLU preferences of applicants.

Candidates who are taking part in the Admissions Counselling Process for the Common Law Admission Test, 2023 have been notified that NLU, Tripura shall not be included in the preferences listed by the applicants. NLU Tripura, the 25th NLU, was created in October 2022. Although the university was planned to open the academic session this year, it cancelled the BA LLB and LLM admissions for the 2022-23 year due to the state domicile quota.

NLU Tripura has pulled out, leaving 23 NLUs including GNLU Silvasa that will accept the CLAT 2023 scores. The consortium has commenced admission counselling for the national law universities, and those who are shortlisted can finish their registration by January 12th, 2023.
