On December 10th, 2022, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-D) will host their fourth annual Industry Day. Representatives from 15+ companies, business leaders, scientists, IIT Delhi faculty, scholars, and students will be in attendance.
The 2022 Industry Day will center around four topics that correspond to India’s plans to accomplish its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): healthcare, electric cars, communication technologies, clean energy, and the environment. Attendees will debate difficulties and investigate the potential for innovation in the above-mentioned topics.
Sunil Kumar Khare, Dean of Corporate Relations, Research and Development at IIT Delhi, spoke of Industry Day 2022’s themes and technologies, noting that they have been selected to meet the requirements and views of both internal and external researchers, and to foster collaboration between industry and academia to benefit all involved.
IIT Delhi will have the chance to exhibit more than 70 developed technologies related to the themes mentioned in the day-long event. Examples of these technologies are a device to detect epilepsy quickly with the help of AI, clothing for defense personnel in cold environments, a power source for medical apparatus and healthcare systems, electric vehicle power converters, an exoskeleton for those with paralysis, syringes for wastewater treatment that can be recycled, and various technologies for electric vehicles.
Along with this, 150 concept posters related to the industry crafted by the IIT Delhi students will be exhibited. The esteemed guests at the occasion will include K Ananth Krishnan, a former IIT-Delhi student and the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Tata Consultancy Services.
At IIT Delhi’s Industry Day 2022, Director Rangan Banerjee expressed enthusiasm over the ways the institute could collaborate with the industry. He further stated their commitment to providing the industry with well-equipped graduates and advantageous research. He also invited industries to take advantage of the event to explore potential partnerships.
