On Sunday, the Indian Institute of Management-Jammu made a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Ladakh which includes academic collaboration, faculty interchange, and collective research. The memorandum was signed by IIM-Jammu’s director B S Sahay and Ladakh University’s vice-chancellor S K Mehta.

An official spokesman announced that IIM-Jammu will be launching a transit off-campus at the University. Sahay commented that today is a remarkable day since the University of Ladakh has consented to providing space on its campus for the establishment of the Transit Off-Campus in Leh in the Union Territory of Ladakh.

He declared that the two organizations had come to an understanding to cooperate in fields such as academic growth, entrepreneurship support, executive training, ability building, hosting joint conferences, short-term teaching courses, research, boot camps, and many other areas.

Mehta stated that the partnership between the two institutes will result in outcomes that will benefit all stakeholders, leading to sustainable growth in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. He added that the collaboration with IIM-Jammu will enable the university to gain proficiency in a variety of areas such as creating educational and training courses, long-term planning, entrepreneurship cultivation, better exposure for staff and students, and overall institution growth.
