Three new postgraduates (PG) certificate programmes at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati are now accepting applications through Coursera. The institute introduced PG Certificate programmes in Cloud Computing Applications, Deep Learning for Computer Vision and XR, UX Design, and HCI in partnership with Coursera.
By September 21, 2022, interested candidates must submit their application for the certificate programmes. The Centre for Education Technology, IIT Guwahati, will directly provide certificates to the students after they have successfully completed the course. Students will be able to participate in real-time, interactive sessions with instructor comments. Students were assured by the institute that the course will assist them in mastering the fundamental skill sets for each application domain. They will be able to learn via participating in projects, online laboratories, and use cases as part of a practitioner’s curriculum. Additionally, it offers applicants the chance to network and learns from peers who have already signed up for the programme and are based in the United States, Canada, Australia, etc.

The training course will assist participants in developing their expertise in building, organising, and scaling Cloud deployments. In order to create and deploy dynamically scalable apps on the three well-known cloud platform providers AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP, you must master a number of fundamental skill sets, according to IIT Guwahati. The curriculum will aid in the professional development of IT specialists, project managers, tech company managers, data experts, programmers, and cloud developers.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, as well as fundamental knowledge of mathematics at the high school level, algorithms, and C/C++ programming. PG Certificate in Deep Learning for Computer Vision and XR The market for machine learning jobs is expected to increase at a rate of 40% annually over the next six years, reaching an estimated value of 31 billion US dollars by 2024. This Postgraduate Certificate in Deep Learning for Computer Vision and XR is designed to assist students in using deep learning techniques in the field of computer vision and XR. According to IIT Guwahati, it enables them to build and implement AR/VR systems utilising the Unity game engine and SDKs on both desktop and mobile platforms.

Anyone interested in creating outstanding digital experiences, including graphic designers, front-end developers, UX researchers, and marketing experts, can apply for this course. It stated that while it wasn’t necessary, having a basic understanding of programmes like Figma, Adobe XD, Balsamic, and Miro was advised.
