On September 15, 2022, at 6 p.m., the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar will organise a live online JEE Open House session for potential BTech students. According to an official release from IITGN, the virtual interactive event intends to enlighten JEE Advanced 2022 eligible students and their parents about various engineering programmes at IITs and career options, and will enable them to understand the IIT system better to make informed decisions.

Through the IITGN Open House website (iitgn.ac.in/openhouse), students and their parents from around the world can participate in the online JEE session for free.

In addition to current students and alumni of the Institute, the IITGN JEE Open House event will feature talks with the deans of academic and student affairs, the head of counselling, the coordinator of the student welfare project, and Professor Amit Prashant, director of the Institute. “The attendees will have a great opportunity to acquire first-hand advice on their questions and reservations about undergraduate study at IITs. The IIT Gandhinagar Open Day, which is scheduled for September 15, 2022, is open to students and parents, according to the official release.

Career choices

Students and parents can learn more about IIT Gandhinagar’s values and culture, innovative curriculum, dual degree and double major programmes, liberal branch change policy, scholarships and financial aid, undergraduate research opportunities, international internship opportunities, on-campus employment opportunities, new sports infrastructure and arts initiatives, career development services, and entrepreneurship opportunities during the JEE Open House session.

Professor Nithin George, Dean of Academic Affairs, IITGN, explained the rationale behind holding the IITGN JEE Open House for students and their parents. “Our experience is that prospective students and parents have queries like “Which branch is most linked to my interests? What options do I have for following my interests even if I’m not accepted into the branch of my choice? “, “Can I pursue a BTech degree in two branches at the same time? We are attempting to answer these queries and offer solutions through the IITGN JEE Open House so that students can make more informed decisions.

“It is highly conceivable that IIT aspirant students and their parents may have many doubts and confusion at one of the most crucial junctures of their lives,” stated Professor Sivapriya Kirubakaran, Dean of Student Affairs, IITGN. We hope that by clearing up any questions that prospective students may have about the different disciplines, programmes, course structures, and opportunities available at different IITs, including IIT Gandhinagar, they will be better able to make decisions about the school, student life, and the vibrant campus we have created.
