As of December 15th, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D) has seen over 1,300 job offers accepted by more than 1,150 students. The placements will remain open until the end of May 2023.
IIT-D saw a substantial 10% rise in the number of individual choices and the total amount of offers they received in comparison to last year. In addition, they experienced more than 30 international job offers from 15 different international businesses in locations such as Hong Kong, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and the United States.
IIT Delhi experienced the highest amount of pre-placement offers (PPOs) ever, with a total of 1,300 offers, including over 260 PPOs and 6 international offers. Additionally, 10 students have selected the deferred placement opportunity, which gives them the chance to set up a startup after graduation and still be eligible for placements within a two-year period.
More than 500 businesses from different industries registered to recruit IIT-D students, with over 1,000 job roles to choose from. A number of students are eligible to retake placements as per university regulations. The entire interview process was carried out within a single day in order to give both recruiters and students more time to make informed decisions.
Anishya Obhrai Madan, Head of the Office of Career Services at IIT Delhi, expressed gratitude towards the recruiting organizations for trusting in their students. She mentioned that the Core Sector and Analytics domains have shown an increased interest in hiring this year, and she hopes that this trend will continue throughout the season.
