The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu is teaming up with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to host a management development program from December 7-9, 2022 at their Jammu-Srinagar campus. Over the course of two days, 35 ICAI members from a variety of fields will be participating.
The aim of this program is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to enhance their managerial capabilities. A range of methods such as role-plays, case studies, individual and group activities, themed conversations, and sharing of personal experiences and professional sessions will be employed to make the program more successful.
The program will utilize interactive and experiential methods of learning to increase the skills of the participants in leadership, self-management, creating organizational excellence, employing design thinking for long-term success, forming high-performing teams, managing crisis, utilizing AI and other cutting-edge technologies for digital transformation, comprehending the business environment and competitive strategies, enhancing excellence through interpersonal communication and training, and embracing the changes in technology and digitization.
The sessions will include talks by IIM Jammu’s dean of academics, Jabir Ali, and other staff members from the institute. Once the three-day program is finished, those who attended will be given a certificate of participation issued by the school.
At IIM Jammu, BS Sahay, the director, discussed the Management Development Programme, which aims to refine the Chartered Accountants’ management, leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities. The program includes modules that provide an up-to-date comprehension of the most pertinent techniques and approaches in management, which is expected to boost the managerial and leadership capacities of these young professionals.
At the event, Raj Chawla, vice-chairman of ICAI, mentioned that in the rapidly changing world, chartered accountants are taking on managerial roles that require them to have a better understanding of different business functions, such as leadership, communication, marketing, strategy, change and crisis management, and the ability to analyze the business ecosystem. He expressed his certainty that the participants of the MDP will become more competent in their managerial roles by attaining cross-functional outlooks.
