The MBA programme at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been reorganised to better satisfy the needs of business and the job market. Top academics from management institutes and practitioners have been added to the university in accordance with the All India Council for Technical Education’s curriculum (AICTE). Before September 9, candidates can submit an application for admission on the official admissions website.
Professor NayantaraPadhi, Program Coordinator (MBA), School of Management Studies, IGNOU, provided information on the restructured MBA Program. She said, “The management faculty has totally revamped the MBA programme to satisfy the industry as well as labour market criteria. Some of the leading academicians from top management institutes and practitioners worked on the restructure while keeping the AICTE model curriculum in mind.

The MBA programmes provided by IGNOU are AICTE-recognized programmes on par with those offered by traditional universities and reputable MBA colleges.
2. The university provides the MBA programme in five concentrations: marketing management, operations management, human resource management, and financial management. These courses are available online and through distance learning.
3. Since there is no entrance exam to pass, admission to these programmes is fairly simple. Any graduate with a minimum GPA of 50% (45% for the reserved category) from a minimum of three years can enrol right away in the programme. Additionally, prior experience is not necessary.
4. The curriculum might last a minimum of two years or a maximum of four years. The programme is offered semester-wise and each of the four semesters has got seven courses. The total credits of the programme are 116.
5. The semesterly tuition of Rs 15,500 is quite reasonable.
6. The students benefit from counselling provided by academic counsellors located all around the nation. Both paper and electronic course materials are available to them. In addition, they can access the GyanDarshan channel to view interactive video lectures and the FM channel to listen to interactive lectures (Gyan Vani).
