Colleges across the nation must offer courses in “museum science,” according to Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, president of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations. The ICCR is an independent agency of the Union government responsible for fostering the nation’s international cultural ties and managing exchange initiatives. Former Rajya Sabha member Sahasrabuddhe stated on Sunday that as museums are of enormous historical significance to any nation, institutions should offer museum science as a specialised discipline.
There was a need to give them competent leadership because many young people were studying history in the nation, which was highlighting its rich past.
