During the World Pollution Prevention Month, IIT Delhi's startup Nanoclean initiated a campaign called 'DelhiBreathes'.

During the World Pollution Prevention Month, Nanoclean – a startup supported by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi – has partnered with the Allen Career Institute to provide Naso95, a wearable air purifier, to more than 50,000 school students in Delhi, through the ‘DelhiBreathes’ initiative.

The ‘DelhiBreathes’ project is working to spread awareness about air pollution in Delhi schools. This includes giving away Naso95 air purifiers to more than 50 schools at no cost, to help students learn how to take preventive measures against air pollution.

Schools visited under the ‘DelhiBreathes’ drive

Today, in observance of National Pollution Control Day (which is on December 2 annually), the squad paid visits to 6 educational institutions to launch the campaign.

The senior spokesperson of Allen Career institute remarked that air pollution affects both health and the ability of students to stay focused on their studies and athletics. They at Allen are devoted to helping students in any way they can, which is also part of their corporate social responsibility.

At present, Delhi’s air quality is in a bad state, with an hourly AQI of 367. This state of affairs has led to the closure of schools at the beginning of November 2022, due to the hazardous air quality, and students have been instructed to study online.
