In order to determine admission to undergraduate programmes for the academic year 2022–2023, Delhi University (DU) announced on Friday that it will take into account the subject-based normalised Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores. The university also disclosed that the second stage of the admissions procedure, in which applicants will indicate their preferences for programs and colleges, will begin on September 26 and end on October 10, according to a release.

This week, the DU started its admissions process. The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) admission process will be broken down into three stages: submitting the CSAS-2022 application form, choosing your programmes and indicating your preferences, and seat allocation and admission. The second step will call for the CUET scores. “The University of Delhi shall consider the subject-based normalised scores as declared by the NTA in the CUET (UG)-2022 scorecards of the candidates for admissions to the undergraduate programmes for the academic session 2022-2023,” the DU stated. It stated that CSAS (UG)-2022’s first and second phases will stay open until October 10 and that the date the first list of admissions would be announced would also be announced by that date.

The university stated that “the programme-specific merit score shall be automatically calculated by the university in accordance with the eligibility criteria and the candidate will be required to validate his or her results prior to expressing the preferences.” “The candidate must choose as many programmes he or she wants, and it is in the candidate’s best interest to select as many programmes and program+college combinations as possible. Candidates must submit their forms on time and without waiting until the last possible dates. The candidate should fill out the CSAS (UG)-2022 form as carefully as possible “It was an ad.

The institution will give candidates a two-day window to rearrange their preferences for programmes and colleges. A simulated list of potential allocations based on the CSAS-2022 Allocation Policy will be made public by the institution following the conclusion of the preference-filling process (second phase). Before the commencement of the second phase, candidates are urged to make informed decisions by reading the Undergraduate Bulletin of Information 2022, the CSAS-2022 guidelines, visiting the university’s admission website, and beginning to plan for their desired programmes and colleges. The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the results of the first round of the CUET for undergraduate admissions on Friday.

According to the NTA, the participating universities will create the merit lists and choose how to conduct counselling sessions based on the results of the CUET-UG. The candidates’ scorecards include the normalised scores, often known as the NTA scores, and the percentile scores are broken down by subject. The equi-percentile approach was used to calculate the normalised scores from each candidate’s raw results to ensure parity across exam sessions.
