Delhi University students and teachers participated in the Tiranga Yatra.

As part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence, students, faculty members, and administrators from Delhi University organized a rally in the North Campus area on Thursday.

Yogesh Singh, vice chancellor of Delhi University, led the protest, which travelled four kilometres. Raised slogans and Indian flags are carried by rally attendees. The Gandhi monument at Delhi University’s entrance number 1 served as the rally’s starting point.

The goal of the “Tiranga Yatra,” according to the rally’s organiser, Dean of Students’ Welfare Professor Pankaj Arora, is to foster a sense of patriotism, belonging, and pride in one’s country. At seven locations across the university campus, 20-foot flagpoles were raised to display the national anthem. Dyal Singh College, Delhi University tweeted, “Most Mesmerizing & Memorable Tiranga Yatra under the Leadership of our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh.”
