Administrative and technical issues led to the cancellation of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG’s second shift across all centers and the postponement of its first shift for a few centers across 17 states, according to the National Testing Agency officials. According to Sadhana Parashar, Senior Director, National Testing Agency, “the CUET UG 2022 planned on August 4 (first shift) has been postponed to August 12 for a few examination centres in 17 states” (NTA). Furthermore, despite the exam being scheduled to commence at 3 pm, technical issues prevented the second shift’s question paper from being posted until 5 pm and the download from 489 centres beginning until 5:25 pm.
According to Parashar, reports were requested from the local city coordinators and observers. “In light of their recommendations, the second shift, which was supposed to take place on August 4 from 3 to 6 p.m., has been cancelled and will instead take place between August 12 and 14, 2022. The candidates whose exams have been postponed may still use the same admission card. She said that candidates could email datechange@nta.ac.in with their preferred date and roll number if August 12–14, 2022 is not suitable.
From July 15 to August 20 (excluding days of other undergraduate examinations and gazetted holidays), the NTA will be administering the CUET UG 2022 in 489 centres spread over about 259 locations in India and nine cities outside of India.
