Delhi Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister, opened the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School in Najafgarh on Saturday and urged pupils to instil a sense of living and dying for the nation in them. According to him, pupils would be trained using the school’s cutting-edge facilities and admission exam schedules for the various military forces. “Delhi lacked a Sainik school. We started making preparations a year ago without knowing it would be finished in that time frame. On behalf of Delhi and the nation, I extend my gratitude to everyone who helped realise our ambition within a year, “on the occasion, the chief minister stated.”
Kejriwal said he had always envisioned an educational system where the rich and the poor could learn together while highlighting the fact that education and other amenities are free at the school. Retired cops would be invited to mentor youngsters, he said.
“As a result of my interactions with pupils, I learned that 80–90% of them attend public schools, while 10–15% attend private institutions. To help pupils get ready for the military, there will be psychometric tests, courses on personality development, and practise exams “added Kejriwal. According to him, Bhagat Singh’s name was chosen for the school so that children might learn from his example. “He joined the independence movement at the age of 23 and lost his life for it. At that age, today’s youth worry about finding a girlfriend. You should adopt his principles and take lessons from his life “And Kejriwal.
