The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore reports that the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022 saw an increase of 11% in overall registration and 6% in category candidate registration thanks to improvements to the processes related to outreach and registration for CAT 2022 launched by the convenor institute and CAT committee.

According to information provided by IIM Bangalore, applicants may access their CAT 2022 admission cards starting at 5 PM on October 27. The results of the CAT 2022 exam will probably be released in the second week of January 2023.

According to an official statement from IIM Bangalore, “there were digital efforts for the first time to build awareness on the opening of CAT 2022 applications and the lengthening of the deadline in order to reach a younger and targeted demographic.” The Northeast and the Union Territories published the CAT 2022 announcements, according to IIM Bangalore. Additionally, test centres have been established in new regions, including the Northeast (Manipur, Tripura, etc.) and Union Territories (Lakshadweep, Dadra, Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Ladakh and Leh). For CAT 2022, there were two payment gateways available, making registration simple for the students.

CAT 2022 Registration

“On the CAT website, a non-IIM registration option is available this year. To increase their visibility, non-IIM institution logos have also been added to the CAT website, according to the IIM Bangalore statement. On November 27, 2022, test centres in 150 test cities around the nation will administer the CAT 2022 exam. Candidates can choose any six exam cities, in any sequence, according to their preferences. Throughout the selection process, candidates are required to provide and maintain a unique and functional email address as well as a mobile phone number.

Three distinct sessions will be held to administer the computer-based test. Candidates will be evaluated on their verbal skills, reading comprehension, ability to comprehend data logically, and quantitative skills. “Student-centric reforms would strengthen the registration and other processes of CAT, allowing the applicants to focus on preparation for the examination itself,” CAT 2022 Chair Professor Ashis Mishra stated.

“There is still COVID-19 confusion as to how the examination will be prepared for and administered. The decisions and instructions periodically given by the Central and State governments, as well as IIMs, affect the information supplied on the CAT website. Candidates are recommended to often check the CAT website for the most recent information, he continued.
