ACCA, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, held a virtual job fair on “how to be recruited” on Monday. The employment fair resulted in 776 job opportunities across roles for participating job seekers, including both new and seasoned accountants. The companies that attended the job fair as recruiters were EY GDS, KPMG Global Services, Nestle India, Dupont India, Standard Chartered Bank, NTT Data Services, Electronic Arts, KNAV & Co, QX Global Group, and Atkins Global.
ACCA employment consultant Jo Thurman conducted a live workshop on employability and interview techniques. The fundamental skills that young students and affiliates must focus on to succeed in interviews and their future careers were also discussed, according to a statement from ACCA. These tips included how to grow in tests, deal with failures and develop critical abilities.
“The learning outcomes and career-enhancing advice offered by professionals during the numerous sessions at the career fair were significant. Mohammad Sajid Khan, director of ACCA, stated, “I would like to thank all the organisations that sponsored the career fair by providing useful insights, learnings, and presenting different job chances to the ACCA talent pool. During the discussion on “ACCA creating careers in accountancy and finance,” the presenters shared personal anecdotes and talked about how the certification helped them advance in their fields. “I’m overjoyed that our most recent ACCA India Virtual Careers Fair was a success.
It’s a tangible demonstration of our commitment to employability for our members and future members – as well as how we support employers in India to access and grow the finance talent they need to succeed,” a statement from ACCA said.
