MPSC Exam 2024: Maharashtra Public Service Commission exam is a state-level government exam and it is popularly known as the MPSC exam. The MPSC exam is conducted by the Government of Maharashtra and it is one of the toughest exams held in the state of Maharashtra. MPSC Salary 2024

MPSC salary for 2024 recruitment is calculated as per the rules of Maharashtra Government and 7th Pay commission. The Basic Grade pay including DA, TA, HRA, and others for Class- A and Class- B Officers are mentioned below in the table.

MPSC Exam 2024 Application Process

The application form will be filled on the official website of MPSC in online mode. Before filling the application form candidates need to know all the required details regarding the application form. Here we have given the step by step procedure to fill the online form.

  • Go to the official website of MPSC i.e. mahampsc.mahaonline.gov.in.
  • Now click on the ‘New Registration’ link to register.
  • Now enter all the required details such as Name, Mobile no., Email ID, etc.
  • After completing the registration process, the system will generate a provisional application ID and Password which will be sent to your registered Email ID.
  • Now candidates have to log in there, by filling in the required log in detail.
  • In the next step, candidates need to click on the ‘Profile creation’ link.
  • After filling in the details, candidates need to create a profile for the MPSC State Service application form, for which they have to click on the ‘Create User’ link.
  • Now candidates have to enter the details asked to create a profile and then click on the Save button to save the details.
  • After creating the profile, candidates need to upload the recent passport size photograph and signature.
  • To fill the online application for MPSC State Service Exam, candidates have to login again.
  • Select the option  ‘Online application’ and click it to fill the application form.
  • Fill all the required details, and then Submit the application form.
  • After the submission of the application form, click on ‘my account’ to pay the application fee.

MPSC Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: The candidates must belong from the country India i.e. must have an Indian Citizen.
  • Education Qualification:
    • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
    • Candidates appearing in the last year of qualifying degree are also eligible for the MPSC exam.
    • Competency in Marathi
  • Physical Criteria:
    • For some posts such as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP)/ Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) /  and Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), physical standards should also be needed to satisfy.
  • The number of attempts:
    • There is no maximum no. of limit restriction, one can give many attempts within their age limit criteria.
  • Age Limit:
    • The minimum age and maximum age limit for all the different categories of candidates are given as under in the following table.

  • The third stage to qualify for the exam is the Personality Test/ Interview.

There is no particular syllabus for the interview but candidates must have to aware of current events related to State, Country, and  World. In the interview, the personality of the candidates will be tested on behalf of their understanding, practical knowledge.


MPSC Exam 2024 Admit Card

MPSC will release a separate admit card/ hall tickets for both the exams Prelims and Mains. The admit cards will be released by the officials of MPSC after the successful submission of the application form along with the required fee.

  • To download the admit card, candidates may visit the official website i.e. mahampsc.mahaonline.gov.in
  • To download the admit card, candidates require login credentials i.e. a username and a password.
  • Candidates can also download the admit card with login credentials, in this case, candidates only need of their application ID.

MPSC Exam 2024 Result

The final result of MPSC will be released in online mode on the official website of MPSC i.e. mahampsc.mahaonline.gov.in

  • The final merit list of shortlisted/ qualified candidates will be published after qualifying all the three phases of Prelims, Mains, and Interview.
  • The result of the prelims exam will not decide the merit list because the prelims exam is of a qualifying nature only.
  • The final result will depend only on the Mains score and Interview score.
  • On the behalf of Mains and Interview round, the final list of shortlisted candidates will be prepared.

MPSC Exam 2024 Selection Criteria

For the selection process, all the stages are important to perform well. The prelims exam is qualifying and if you qualify for this exam then you will receive the entry for the Mains exam and if you get shortlisted after the mains exam then you will be called for the interview round. Hence all the phases of the exam are equally important.

Conclusively the selection will be made on the Mains score and Interview score and as per the reservation criteria of the Maharashtra Government.
