Haryana Police Selection Process – Physical Screening Test (PST)

The Physical Screening Test is the second phase of the Haryana Police Recruitment, in which candidates’ physical endurance is tested for both Constable and SI positions. Female and male candidates are given different tasks to complete within the time limit. Take a look at the information below.

Note:

  1. Applicants who do not meet the PST requirements will be disqualified from the Haryana Police recruitment process.

Haryana Police Physical Measurement Test (PMT) Selection Criteria

The Physical Measurement Test is the third stage of the Haryana Police recruitment process. Aspirants are required to follow certain guidelines set forth by the relevant authorities. Those who pass this phase will be called back for the final document verification round.

Additional Qualification (10% weightage)

Candidates who pass the third phase are eligible to participate in the final scrutiny verification round.

  1. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a reputable university will receive 4 marks, while those with a postgraduate degree from a recognised institute will receive 3 additional marks.
  2. Candidates with a graduation degree in law, computer engineering/science, forensic medicine, forensic science, police science, and criminology will receive 4 marks, while candidates with a post-graduate degree will receive an additional 3 marks.
  3. For both the SI and Constable positions, candidates with an NCC certificate for levels A, B, or C receive an additional 1,2 or 3 marks.

Haryana Police Selection Criteria – Miscellaneous (10% weightage)

  1. If the candidate, his/her mother/father/son/spous]]><![CDATA[e, or anyone in his/her acquaintance was/is/has been a regular employee of the Haryana or any other state government, five marks will be awarded.
  2. Five marks will be provided to the candidate if he/she
    1. A Widow 
    2. The first or second child and His/her father died before attaining the age of 42 
    3. The first or second child and the applicant’s father died before he/she (applicant) reached 15 years age.
    4. Five marks will be given if the applicant belongs to such a denotified tribe (Vimukt Jatis) or Nomadic tribe of Haryana which is neither a Scheduled Caste nor a Backward Class.
    5. Maximum 8 marks has been considered, for the experience as a contract employee. 
    6. 0.5 marks for each part, thereafter crossing 6 months of experience out of 16 years on the same or higher post in any Department under the Government of Haryana. 

Note:

  • Claim or reservation benefit and/or relaxation, if any, shall be admissible only to those candidates who are able to submit the required valid original certificate for scrutiny, along with their application, in support of their claim; otherwise, they will be considered general category candidates, if otherwise eligible to apply. In this case, information will be displayed on the conducting body’s official portal.
  • If the quota for ex-servicemen (ESM-GEN, ESM-SC, ESM-BCA, ESM-BCB) remains unfilled due to a lack of ex-servicemen or their dependents or suitable candidates from the backward classes, there will be a 2% reservation for freedom fighters/their children/grandchildren to that extent.
  • Reservations in the SC, Backward Class A, and B, and Ex-servicemen categories are only available to Haryana residents.

During the final scrutiny verification process, the candidates need to produce the following documents.
