What is the full form of MBBS?

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery is the full form of MBBS. Medical colleges and universities award the MBBS degree, which is a specialised undergraduate degree in medical and surgical medicine. However, as the names suggest, a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery are two separate degrees that are combined in one area and rewarded together during practise.

The internship period, which lasts 5–6 years, is included in the MBBS course duration. This curriculum is open to students in higher secondary school who have studied science subjects such as chemistry, physics, biology, and English. It is regarded as one of the best courses in the world, and after completing it, an individual is legally transformed into a medical professional.

Eligibility criteria for MBBS degree

  • Students who have passed a science-related higher secondary, Class 12 or pre-university qualification exam, such as Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, or Botany.
  • Individuals should have studied English as a key subject in preparation for their qualifying exam.
  • Applicants must also meet the age restriction requirements, which state that they must be seventeen years old at the time of enrollment.
  • There are some additional eligibility requirements, according to the MCI (Medical Council of India), which is an MBBS authority.
