UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The applicants must go through the UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2023 eligibility criteria before considering the application for the exam. The detailed eligibility criteria for UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2023 are given below:

B.V.Sc & A.H. Degree

• The applicants must have passed 10+2 or HSC examination with physics, chemistry, biology, and English as mandatory subjects.
• The applicants must have secured a minimum of 50% in 10+2 or HSC if belonging to the General category. The applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC will be given 5% relaxation in percentage.
• The lower age limit is 17 years and the upper age limit is 25 years. Applicants belonging to SC/ST will be given relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit.

M.V.Sc and PhD

• The applicant must have passed the B.V.Sc & A.H. examination from a VCI-recognized college or its equivalent.
• For admission to the Doctoral program, a master’s degree is compulsory in the respective field, with OGPA/ percentage equivalent to 6.5/10 for applicants belonging to the General category, and the applicants belonging to SC/ST/PH category must have 6.0/10 OGPA/ percentage. The guidelines given by ICAR and the OGPA formulae should be followed for the year in which the applicant has passed out.

B.Sc./M.Sc./PhD (College of Biotechnology)

• For admissions to B.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Industrial Microbiology: The applicants must have passed 10+2 or HSC examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks with physics, chemistry, biology, and English as main subjects. For SC/ST the minimum percentage requirement is 55%.
• For admissions to M.Sc./M.V.Sc. Biotechnology: The applicants must have a degree of B.Sc. (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry)/B.Sc. (Biotechnology)/B.Tech. (Biotech)/ B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.Sc. (Agriculture)/ B.Sc.(Fisheries) with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks for the applicants belonging to the general category and 55% marks for the applicants belonging to ST/SC.
• Diploma course in veterinary pharmacy and livestock extension: The applicants must have passed 10+2 or HSC examinations from the U.P. Board or its equivalent with physics, chemistry, biology, and English scoring a minimum of 50% marks. The applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC need to score only 45% marks in the qualifying examination. The applicants must have attempted PDET (Pre-Diploma Entrance Test) 2023 conducted by DUVASU and must have cleared the exam to be considered eligible.
