NMIMS NPAT 2024 Exam Pattern: The approval of NPAT exam pattern will be approved by NMIMS University Mumbai for 2024. NMIMS NPAT 2024 Exam Pattern in Detail

The NMIMS NPAT exam pattern for Non-Engineering courses is mentioned below.

The test is conducted to measure reasoning, analytical, General Intelligence, and command of the English language. There is topic-wise weightage in each subject.

There is a time limit assigned for each section that will be indicated on the screen by the clock. This clock will be set by the server and the countdown timer located in the topmost right corner of the screen. It will show the remaining time for the examination to be completed. If the timer shows zero then the exam will be over and the computer will automatically shut down and then the marked answer will be submitted automatically.

Paper 1

This is the common paper for each applicant and it consists of MCQ questions with no negative marking.

NPAT 2020 Exam Analysis

The question paper for NPAT 2020 contained a total of 120 questions that had to be completed within 100 minutes. There were a total of three sections with 40 questions each. Since there was no time limit for each separate section so the main field to solve maximum questions was to attempt the easy question and then move towards the tough questions. The approach that was used to solve difficult questions was the A-B-C approach.


NMIMS NPAT 2024 Syllabus

The candidates can visit the official website of NMIMS to get the exam pattern and syllabus. It is advised to go through the entire syllabus for the preparation of the examination in an effective manner. There are different topics under which the questions will be asked. There are separate sections. To get all the study materials related to the topics the students must go through the syllabus and exam pattern very well.

Paper 1

In Paper 1, three different sections are containing different topics under which section. In the section on quantitative and numerical ability, the topics are trigonometry, arithmetics, sets and functions, probability and elementary statistics, number systems, and algebra. In the other section reasoning and General Intelligence, the topics involved are data interpretation, spatial reasoning, data sufficiency, verbal and logical reasoning, numerical reasoning, and critical thinking. The section on English proficiency includes error rectification, reading comprehension, Sequencing of Ideas, contextual usage, and applied grammar.

Paper 2

In the second paper or Paper 2 of the NPAT 2024 examination, the syllabus is different for each course. There are 90 questions that are subject-specific and are divided into three different sections. The topics under spatial ability and visualization skills include the principle of perception and visual design, spatial relationship assessment, and knowledge of practical and every day. The section on general awareness and design sensibility concludes with the topics of general awareness of environmental factors, Awareness of social and cultural connection, and history of art sculpture and literature. While the last section observation and problem-solving conclude that topics’ ability to detect concealed, apply attention to certain details, ability to discern subtle differences, and use these to solve problems.

What is the total time allotted to complete the NPAT question paper?

The candidates will be given only 100 minutes for completing 120 MCQ type questions for the NPAT examination.
