The NIFT 2023 entrance exam is administered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology to shortlist aspirants for membership in the design programs it offers. NIFT has its registered office in Delhi. In addition, the other campuses are in Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Kangra, Chennai, Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Patna, Srinagar, Kannur, Raebareli, Shillong, and Kolkata.

In Bachelor of Design and Bachelor of Fashion Technology, eligible candidates may be admitted. The entry examination requires three phases-the the Creative Ability Test (CAT), the General Ability Test (GAT), and the situation test. Candidates seeking admission to the BF Tech course will only be expected to appear on the GAT test. NIFT Application Form 2023

The NIFT 2023 application form will be available from December 2022. Candidates shall be allowed until January 2023 to fill in the application form with a late charge. The NIFT 2023 application fee will be paid through the online payment gateway or through the bank demand draft issued in favor of the “NIFT HO” payable in New Delhi.

  • The General / OBC (Non-Creamy) Category fee: Rs. 2000 through the payment gateway or demand draft

How to fill NIFT Application Form?

Students should take the steps below to fill out the NIFT application form.

Step 1: New candidates will create a login ID.

Step 2: Candidates who have already signed in must complete the online application form filling process.

Step 3: They must check the status of their application form after it has been submitted.

Step 4: They can also access their admit card after filling in the application form.

Applicants should not forget to keep for future reference a printout/photocopy of the NIFT application form 2023 along with the payment proof.

NIFT Application Form Correction

Aspirants will be given the ability to review and edit the details before submitting the payment in their online application form. Students may not be able to change/modify any details in the application form until the payment is made, except for the exam center.

In January 2023 the process for editing the application form will open. Unless the information discovered at a later point was inaccurate or false, otherwise the authority had the power to revoke the candidature. NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2023

Candidates who wish to apply for a NIFT exam must meet the age and educational qualification requirements prescribed for the program they chose. Students must remember that the eligibility requirements for B.Des and B.F Tech differ but the age requirement for both programs is the same. NIFT Exam Pattern 2023

  • Exam Mode and Date: NIFT 2023 exam will held in February 2023 through Pen and Paper (offline) mode.
  • Number and Type of Questions: The question paper will contain multiple choice questions and the number of questions will vary for various programmes.
  • Time Duration: For B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, MFM entrance exams, B.Des and M.Des entrance test, 2 hours will be provided to complete the paper.
  • Sections: The exam paper will contain various sections like – Quantitative Ability, Analytical, English Comprehension, Communication Ability, Current Affairs and General Knowledge.
  • Language Medium: The language of the question paper will be in English & Hindi.
  • Marking Scheme: There will be no negative marking in the exam paper.

NIFT 2023 Syllabus

The NIFT 2023 syllabus will have numerous topics from Quantitative Ability, Analytical and Logical Ability, English Comprehension, Communication Ability, Current Affairs and General Knowledge sections.

The Syllabus for GAT and CAT will be different. The complete syllabus will be available to the applicants by online mode.


NIFT 2023 Preparation Tips

In order to qualify NIFT 2023, students should take help of preparation tips provided below:

  • The candidates need to have a proper study schedule and should have good knowledge of the exam before starting the preparation.
  • Applicants should make notes of all the important points, concepts, or formulas at one place.
  • The candidates should attempt mock tests to analyze their exam preparation.
  • Students should practice previous years’ question papers.
  • Candidates should revise all their prepared notes at the end of each day.

NIFT 2023 Admit Card

The NIFT 2023 Admit Card will be made available after the completion of the application process. The admit card is a necessary document that will have all the important details about the applicant and the exam.

In case, applicants find any discrepancy in the details of the admit card or while downloading their admit card, they should contact the officials as soon as possible.

The admit card is expected to release in last week of January 2023. Applicants will be able to download the hall ticket through online mode by entering their provided application number and date of birth.

NIFT Exam Centres 2023

NIFT ‘s examination centers are the location where the entrance exam will be performed. At the time of registration for NIFT 2023, applicants will have the chance to pick the NIFT examination centers. NIFT 2023 Selection Process

There will be 3 more phases for applicants who sit in the NIFT Exam that they need to qualify to get into their preferred field. Situational Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview are those 3 rounds.

At NIFT, the choice depends on cumulative performance. Applicants who choose a Bachelor of Design will have to pass the Situational Test and applicants who choose M. Design will have to go through a Group Discussion and Personal Interview based on case study. The applicants who qualify will be called for a counselling procedure for all of this.

Counseling will be carried out on the basis of a merit list drawn up by the NIFT. All requirements, such as categorization and qualification, etc., are covered by the counseling process. Please be aware that there are 2 rounds of counseling, with the date of completion of the second NIFT counseling after first round. In order to make use of the seat allocation, the applicants will be obligated to pay the fee in due time, otherwise their choice will become invalid.


NIFT 2023 Counselling

The NIFT 2023 counselling process will begin from June 2023. Candidates must first sign online to participate in the counselling process. Also those candidates who will have common merit rank will be considered for NIFT counselling rounds.

Candidates can download call letters online for the GD and PI interview rounds by submitting their registration number, birth date, and roll number.

Data checking of applicants will also be performed at the time of counselling. Candidates must submit certificate verification documentation as described below:

NIFT Refund Policy

Applicants who do not wish to continue to be admitted to the NIFT are required to apply formally for a refund. The full policy for refunds is declared on the NIFT official site. The application for withdrawal of admission and reimbursement has to be made online. Applicants are recommended to contact the NIFT web page and log in using credentials and then request withdrawal. In due course, the payments will be initiated. Only if they are completed within a timeline will the refund request be accepted.


NIFT 2023 Result

The NIFT 2023 outcome will be published after the General Ability Test, Creative Ability Test, and Interview. The outcome will be released as of March 2023 by online process.

Students have to input their registration number, roll number and date of birth to test the NIFT result online and print the scorecard.

The details in the scorecard mention Candidate name, date of birth, roll number, application number, scores obtained in CAT, GAT and Situation Test, total marks, rank, qualification status etc.

NIFT FAQ’S
