Tie-Breaking Policy for NATA 2022

In the event that two or more applicants have the same score, the competent authorities will use a tie-breaker method to determine the applicant whose name will appear on the NATA 2022 merit list.

NATA 2022 tie-breaking method is explained below:

  • The total number of marks earned by applicants in the mathematics section.
  • In the NATA 2022 mathematics section, there would be lesser incorrect attempts.

Normalisation Process in NATA 2022

Since 2019, CoA has used a normalisation process for the Architecture Aptitude test, which is held twice a year. This is done to counteract the effects of shift-to-shift variation in the difficulty level of question papers.

This will only apply during the counselling and admissions process, which will be handled by the respective authorities/universities. The Council’s decision will be final, and these guidelines will be based on statistical analysis.

Note on Interpretation of NATA Result: The CoA has legal jurisdiction over any disputes regarding exam administration or results. Only the courts in Delhi will be capable of handling the cases. Candidates must deal with the institute directly if they have a dispute during the admissions or course of study process.
