MAH CET Eligibility Criteria 2024

The eligibility criteria for the applicants to apply for MAH MBA/MMS CET 2024 exam has been declared by the DTE.

Given below are some of the important points that a candidate must read carefully regarding the eligibility criteria to appear in MAH CET 2024 exam.

  • The candidate should be the citizen of India.
  • The candidate must have graduated with 50% marks in any discipline can apply for MAH CET 2024 exam.
  • The candidates in their final year students of graduation can also apply for MAH CET MBA/MMS 2024 online exam.
  • For General/OBC category applicants application fee is INR 1000 and for SC/ ST category candidates it is INR 800.
  • The applicants with valid CAT 2024 and CMAT 2024 score can also seek admission.

Maharashtra State (MS) Candidate

Qualifying on any of the 4 types is necessary for the candidate to be eligible as Maharashtra State (MS) candidate.

Candidates who will be considered the Maharastra Candidates will have more opportunities and more admission options in MBA/MMS 2024-23 in top MBA colleges in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra State (MS) Candidate: Type A

The candidate who has graduated from HSC and qualifying examination from Maharashtra state is considered Maharashtra Candidate.

In case if the candidate didn’t graduate HSC but graduated from Diploma in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy and any other qualifying examination from Maharashtra State, he/she is also considered as Maharashtra State Candidate.

Also, if the applicant has a domicile or is born in the State of Maharashtra, he/she is the Maharashtra State Candidate and must mention it while applying for MAH CET 2024 online.

Maharashtra State (MS) Candidate: Type B

If the candidate’s Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra, they can be the Maharashtra State (MS) Candidate.

It is not mandatory that the candidate was born or studied in the State of Maharashtra, if the either of the candidate’s parent or the candidates themselves have the domicile as stated above, they will qualify as a Maharashtra State (MS) Candidate.

Maharashtra State (MS) Candidate: Type C

If either of the parents of the candidate i.e. Father or Mother, is posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State as an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking before the final date of the registration, they will be considered Maharashtra State candidate.

Maharashtra State (MS) Candidate: Type D

If the candidate’s Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of Maharashtra/Government of Maharashtra Undertaking or are retired employees of the above, they will be considered as Maharashtra State Candidate.

Even in case they are posted in some other states or are on deputation to some other departments, the applicant would still be considered as Maharashtra Candidate.

Maharashtra State (MS) Candidate: Type E

The applicants graduating HSC or passing diploma in Engineering or Technology or Pharmacy and also Qualifying Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border area or from Maharashtra, residing in the disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border area and whose mother tongue is Marathi.

All India candidates: 15% to 35% seats reserved

For All India applicants appearing in MAH CET exam 15% to 35% seat allocation is available. These applicants are also offered admission on the basis of their scores in All India MBA entrance exams CAT 2024, CMAT 2024.
