KCET 2024 is a pen and paper test held in an offline mode as questions are of MCQ type. The duration of the exam to complete each paper will be 70 minutes and extra 10 minutes will be provided to read and fill the information in the OMR Sheet. The papers of Mathematics and Biology will be held on the first day while Physics and Chemistry will be conducted on the next day. - Mode of Exam: KCET 2024 will be held in an offline mode as a pen and paper test
- Subjects: The questions will be available from the subject such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics & Biology subjects. Candidates will get the option to choose only one subject from Mathematics & Biology.
- Question Type: The question asked in each subject is of objective type.
- Marking Scheme: One mark will be allotted for every right response.
- Exam Duration: The time limit of the exam will be of 80 minutes for each section. The exam will be held in different sessions, that is morning session from 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM and the Afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 3:50 PM.
- Courses: Students can get admission in courses like technology, engineering, Ayurveda, pharmacy, homeopathy, and other science courses.
- Exam Language: The language of the question paper will be English. The applicants will also get an option to select the Kannada language.
- Writing Mode: The writing mode of the exam is a black or blue ballpoint pen that will be used to mark the answers.
- Negative Marking: No negative marking will be there in this exam. If the candidates mark more than one answer in each question then the answer will be considered wrong.
- Additional Exam: The language Test will be taken only for Bangalore candidates and the Agriculture Practical Test will be taken by the agriculture aspirants).

KCET 2024- Kannada Language Test (Bangalore only)
Candidates need to appear in the Kannada Language Test along with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics paper, Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga
- According to the previous year’s trends, the exam will be held at a basic level to determine the ability of the applicants in the Kannada language.
- The applicants need to secure at least 12 marks out of 50 marks to pass the exam.
- The Kannada language exam will be held in Bangalore.

KCET 2024 exam is a pen and paper-based test that will be held in offline mode. The applicants are required to mark their answers in the OMR sheet. Is the Pattern of COMEDK and KCET Similar?
The COMEDK and KCET exam pattern are almost the same. In both, the paper applicants need to answer 60 questions within the time limit of 70 minutes. The difficulty level of the paper for both exams will be different from each other. In comparison with COMEDK, the exam rules and the difficulty level is a bit higher. KCET Exam Pattern 2024 FAQ’S
No, there will be no negative marking in the KCET exam. Candidates need to know that they cannot leave any question not answered. Choose the answer you are sure about.
There will be 16 different versions and the version code that will be printed in bold on the top sheet of the question paper. In each paper the version codes will be used like from A – 1 to A – 4, B – 1 to B – 4, C – 1 to C – 4, and D – 1 to D – 4. The main reason behind using the Version codes is the candidates cannot use unfair means in the exam.

One mark will be added for each right response. No negative marking will be there for the wrong response.
