KCET Exam Pattern 2022

KCET 2022 is a pen and paper test held in an offline mode as questions are of MCQ type. The duration of the exam to complete each paper will be 70 minutes and extra 10 minutes will be provided to read and fill the information in the OMR Sheet. The papers of Mathematics and Biology will be held on the first day while Physics and Chemistry will be conducted on the next day. Here, we have shared the complete details about KCET 2022 Exam Pattern. The exam pattern comprises exam duration, question types, the number of questions asked, marking scheme, and other details as shared below:

  • Mode of Exam: KCET 2022 will be held in an offline mode as a pen and paper test
  • Subjects: The questions will be available from the subject such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics & Biology subjects. Candidates will get the option to choose only one subject from Mathematics & Biology.
  • Question Type: The question asked in each subject is of objective type.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be allotted for every right response.
  • Exam Duration: The time limit of the exam will be of 80 minutes for each section. The exam will be held in different sessions, that is morning session from 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM and the Afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 3:50 PM.
  • Courses: Students can get admission in courses like technology, engineering, Ayurveda, pharmacy, homeopathy, and other science courses.
  • Exam Language: The language of the question paper will be English. The applicants will also get an option to select the Kannada language.
  • Writing Mode: The writing mode of the exam is a black or blue ballpoint pen that will be used to mark the answers.
  • Negative Marking: No negative marking will be there in this exam. If the candidates mark more than one answer in each question then the answer will be considered wrong.
  • Additional Exam: The language Test will be taken only for Bangalore candidates and the Agriculture Practical Test will be taken by the agriculture aspirants).

KCET 2022- Kannada Language Test (Bangalore only)

Candidates need to appear in the Kannada Language Test along with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics paper, Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga

  • According to the previous year’s trends, the exam will be held at a basic level to determine the ability of the applicants in the Kannada language.
  • The applicants need to secure at least 12 marks out of 50 marks to pass the exam.
  • The Kannada language exam will be held in Bangalore. 

OMR Sheet for KCET 2022

KCET 2022 exam is a pen and paper-based test that will be held in offline mode. The applicants are required to mark their answers in the OMR sheet. There will be four options available in the sheets for all the questions and candidates will be required to shade the correct response. Candidates cannot change the answers once it is shaded. Is the Pattern of COMEDK and KCET Similar?

The COMEDK and KCET exam pattern are almost the same. In both, the paper applicants need to answer 60 questions within the time limit of 70 minutes. The difficulty level of the paper for both exams will be different from each other. In comparison with COMEDK, the exam rules and the difficulty level is a bit higher. KCET Syllabus 2022

KCET entrance exam syllabus is released by KEA. The candidates will get a better chance to understand the complete syllabus of KCET including its concepts and topics in a better manner. KCET Exam Pattern 2022 FAQ’S

No, there will be no negative marking in the KCET exam. Candidates need to know that they cannot leave any question not answered. Choose the answer you are sure about.

There will be 16 different versions and the version code that will be printed in bold on the top sheet of the question paper. In each paper the version codes will be used like from A – 1 to A – 4, B – 1 to B – 4, C – 1 to C – 4, and D – 1 to D – 4. The main reason behind using the Version codes is the candidates cannot use unfair means in the exam.

The medium of language of KCET 2022 paper is English and Kannada.

One mark will be added for each right response. No negative marking will be there for the wrong response.

NCERT publishes several important subject books published that will enhance the 10+2 level knowledge of the candidates. The student must note that the PUC 1st and 2nd-year syllabus covered in KCET is prescribed by the Karnataka State’s Department of Pre-University Education.

KCET 2022 will cover three subjects – Physics, Maths, and Chemistry. There will be a total of 60 questions asked in each subject.
