Type of Questions Asked in JEE Main Physics

There will be two different types of questions in the JEE Main 2024 exam. MCQs are the first type, and non-MCQ or numeric value questions are the second.

  • Multiple Choice Questions: Candidates will have four options to choose from when answering a multiple-choice question. Candidates must choose one accurate response.
  • Non-MCQ or Numeric Value Questions: For Numeric Value questions, candidates must enter their response as either an integer or a decimal value.
  • Formula-Based Questions: Some of the questions in the JEE Main Physics paper will be based directly on formulas. Candidates who use the formula will receive the correct response. Such queries can be answered quickly and easily without the need for extensive calculations.
  • Based on Facts or Laws: In the examination, questions based on facts or laws are asked. Only candidates with thorough knowledge of all physics laws and their applications will be able to adequately respond to such questions.

Preparation Tips for JEE Main 2024 Physics

Attend NTA’s Content-Based Lectures

Candidates may also consult the NTA’s official website’s Content-Based Lecture. To attend these IITians’ lectures, follow these instructions:

  • First, go to the NTA website.
  • Step 2: Select the “Students” button or tab.
  • Step 3: There, you must select the “Content-Based Lectures” option.
  • Step 4: A new window with a subject selection option will open.
  • After that, you can watch the lectures online in step five.

Attend practice exams

  • One month prior to the exam, candidates must begin taking the practice tests. You can assess the quality of your performance in this way. Candidates are advised to take 10-15 JEE Main 2021 Mock Tests so that they can practice answering questions quickly and accurately. Mock tests should now be a part of your exam preparation strategy because there are less than 40 days until the test.
  • On the NTA’s official website, you can register to take the practice exams they offer.
  • Candidates may also sign up for practice exams offered by BIE Telangana.
  • By taking these practice exams, you can identify your areas of strength and weakness and get to work right away on any topics that need improvement.

Solve previous year’s test questions

  • The JEE Main 2024 Previous Year Sample Papers are also excellent for understanding the fundamentals and concepts.
  • Daily completion of the previous year’s papers will enable you to track changes in question patterns and gauge the degree of difficulty.
  • Depending on how many days you have before the exam, you can either leave a section of the paper that you are repeatedly having trouble with so that you can concentrate on other topics, or you can concentrate more on improving that part of the paper.
  • Gujarat Board’s Question Bank
  • Candidates who intend to take the JEE Main, NEET, and GUJCET exams have access to a Question Bank that has been made available by the Gujarat state board. All of the subjects covered by the JEE Main syllabus—Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics—have question banks available.
  • Both Gujarati and English question banks are available.
  • Candidates can download the question banks by going to the Gujarat Board’s official website.
  • The question bank is further divided based on each subject’s chapter, and a combined PDF of solutions is also included.
