2019 Paper Analysis (April 8 – Morning Shift)

  • In shift 2, the mathematics test was more challenging than the physics test.
  • Magnetics was a significant topic in the paper, and physics was a moderately time-consuming subject.
  • With straightforward questions from the book, the chemistry section was once more the easiest.

JEE Main 2019 Paper II Analysis

On April 7, 2019, JEE Main Paper 2 was administered in two shifts. 1,80,052 candidates registered for the exam in total.

  • CBT was used for the Mathematics and General Aptitude sections.
  • Pen-and-Paper mode was used to conduct the drawing test.
  • Technical difficulties were not experienced by candidates.
  • The section on mathematics: Calculus questions predominated; no question was a repeat of one from the January test. Test takers’ reactions to this paper were mixed; some thought it was challenging, while others thought it was to be expected.
  • Tricky questions on recognizing the top view and front view of 3D objects and shapes were asked in the general aptitude section. Additionally, there were 10 to 15 general knowledge questions, such as the full name of NASA or ISRO and the locations of significant architectural sites.
  • Students rated the drawing section’s difficulty as being moderate.
    • In the first question, students were instructed to use their imagination and creativity to create something out of a cube.
    • In the second question, a flower had to be accurately reproduced.
    • Students had to draw a professor teaching a class of students from behind for the third question.
