Type of Mathematics Questions in JEE Main 2022

Candidates for JEE Main will have to respond to two different types of questions. MCQs are the first type, and non-MCQ or numeric value questions are the second.

  • Multiple Choice Questions: Candidates will have four options to choose from when answering a multiple-choice question. Candidates must choose one accurate response.
  • Non-MCQ or Numeric Value Questions: For Numeric Value questions, candidates must enter their response as either an integer or a decimal value because there are no available options.
  • Shortcut Method Questions: There may be some issues or subjects where you can quickly use some shortcut techniques to get to the solution. But in order to do that, you must be aware of these techniques, and you must also keep answering questions until you can recognise them when they appear in an exam.
  • Formula-Based Questions: Some of the questions in the JEE Main Mathematics paper will be based directly on formulas. Formula knowledge is crucial for answering these questions.
