Frequently Asked Questions
Ques. After rejecting or withdrawing the assigned seat, can I take part in the joint seat allocation process again in the following round?

Ans. No. You are no longer eligible to take part in the seven JoSAA rounds of seat allocation for the academic year 2022–2023. You may, however, only take part in the NIT + System institute-only Special Vacant Seat Filling Round organised by CSAB.

Ques. Will the choices I made in JoSAA carry over or will I have to make new choices in Special Round?

Ans. A candidate will need to reapply and fill out their selections from the seat matrix of NIT + System Institutes because the Special Round is a process that is only run by CSAB 2022 for NIT + System and is distinct from JoSAA.

Ques. What distinguishes JoSSA from CSAB?

Ans. JoSSA’s counselling sessions are different from CSAB’s. After the JoSSA admissions process for IITs, NITs, and other engineering colleges has been completed, CSAB holds a few special rounds of interviews to fill the open seats at those institutions.
