GUJCET 2023 Tie-Breaking criteria

There are lakhs of applicants who have applied for GUJCET every year. There are possibilities that two or more candidates may secure equal marks. Now there will be a question that who will get the rank higher? Gujarat HSC Board may use the following rules and regulation to break the tie–

  1. In the first place, the comparison of the total score of mathematics and physics will be done. The applicants who secured higher marks in Mathematics + Physics will be considered for the better rank. 
  2. If the tie still persists, then the maths and chemistry section total score will be compared.
  3. If the tie still continues then the marks secured together in Physics and Chemistry section will be taken into consideration.
  4. If the tie is not broken yet, then the sectional score of candidates in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English individually will be considered.
  5. If the tie still continues, the comparison is done for the aggregate score obtained in GUJCET.
