IPU CET 2024 Marking Scheme

The applicants can check the marking scheme of IPU CET 2024 with the detailed information in the following points mentioned below:

  • The question paper asked in IPU CET 2024 is of objective-type
  • There will be four options allotted for every question, and out of that the applicants need to mark one relevant answer
  • Every correct answer will be allotted Four marks
  • Negative markings will be there for every wrong response. A 1 mark deduction will be done for a wrong answer.
  • There will be no deduction of marks for an unmarked/unanswered
  • If the candidate marks more than one option as a response then it will be considered incorrect.

IPU CET 2024 Exam Instructions

The following points are mentioned in the Exam Pattern that the students must consider while appearing for the exam.

  • The applicants should carry two ballpoints (Black) pens to the Exam hall to mark answers on OMR answer sheets. Pencil Usage is restricted in the exam hall.
  • The re-evaluation or reassessment facility for the respective exam will not be given to the applicants.
  • Soon after submitting the OMR Answer sheet and booklet test to the invigilator, the applicants must leave the exam hall.
  • There are 4 circles in front of each question in the sheet. The applicants need to mark that circle that shows that as per the applicants it is the right response for that specific question
  • The candidates should submit the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet very carefully. They are not allowed to fold the answer sheet under any situation.
  • For one question, the applicants need to darken one circle. If they darken or mark more than one circle for one question, then that answer will be considered invalid for that question and there may be negative marking for that particular question.
  • The applicants are restricted to marks or writing anything on the OMR sheet other than marking the response.
  • The applicants must remember that they will not be allotted a second blank Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet. Therefore they should handle the OMR response sheet very carefully.

What is the duration of the examination?

There will be a total of 150 minutes or 2 hours and 30 minutes allotted in the entrance exam.

Which types of questions will be asked in the IPU CET exam?

The questions asked in the exam are of objective type and there four options assigned for each question and the applicants need to select and mark the correct answer in the OMR Sheet.

Are questions on General Knowledge asked in IPU CET?

The Question papers comprise General Knowledge for few courses such as MBA, B.Ed, L.LB, etc. But it is considered a compulsory section.

What is the marking scheme followed in IPU CET?

There is an allotment of 4 marks for each right answer and a deduction of 1 mark for every wrong answer.

What should I do if I wish to change the option I have marked in the OMR Sheet?

After you mark the answer with the ballpoint pen it will be irreversible. Therefore select the answer in the OMR sheet in a careful manner. No second OMR sheet will be issued under any circumstances

Can I Bring a calculator to the exam?

No. Electronic devices are restricted in the exam hall therefore the applicants cannot carry them. The candidates will get an on-screen calculator to solve the questions.

What is the medium of IPU CET 2023?

The question paper asked in IPU CET is of English language for all the programs except B.Ed. The B.Ed question paper is available in Hindi as well.
