BITSAT 2022: BITSAT Eligibility Criteria, Qualification Required

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is conducted all over India by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.

By giving the examination, students will be eligible for courses in engineering, pharmacy, science, technology and management, and can enrol in any of the three associated campuses of BITS – BITS Pilani, KK Birla Goa Campus, and  BITS Hyderabad.

The test is a computer-based online test, and offline mode is not an option.

The application forms will be released in December 2021 and only the forms of eligible students will be selected.

BITSAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Following is the eligibility criteria for BITSAT 2022:

  • For admission to courses other than B.Pharm, candidates who have passed their 10+2 with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in PCM with adequate proficiency in English.
  • For admission to B.Pharm, candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects in 10+2 with proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy programs.
  • Only those candidates who are appearing for 10+2 exam in 2022 or have cleared the same in 2021 are eligible.
  • For those candidates who have taken more than one attempt in 10+2 examination, only the latest performance will be considered.
  • Admission is given on the basis of merit score acquired in BITSAT 2022.
  • Direct admission is given to board toppers i.e. students who have obtained the first rank in their respective board examinations, irrespective of their BITSAT scores.
  • International students i.e. candidates who are not citizens of India can also apply for BITSAT provided they meet the eligibility criteria. Such students can get admission into BITS campuses via ISA (International Student Admission) mode too.
  • International applicants must have a minimum of 1600 out of 2400 score in SAT.
  • Since the exam is conducted through computer-based online mode, students are expected to have basic knowledge of operating a computer and the exam authorities will not be responsible for the same.

Only candidates who have filled the admission form with complete details and paid the fee (via online or offline mode) are eligible for downloading their admit cards.

Candidates must carry their admit card while going to give the examination.
