AP LAWCET Merit List 2023

Based on the AP LAWCET entrance test Result, the merit list is declared into different categories. Only those candidate’s names will appear in the AP LAWCET merit list and will be called for the counseling process who will secure marks more than the cut-off marks


AP LAWCET 2023 Tie-Breaking in Rank List

The category-wise rank list will be prepared by the authority based on the results and, if two or more candidates secure equal marks/ranks then the following approaches will be adopted to break the ties

  • The applicants who obtain a higher score in section C that is Aptitude for the Study of Law will be considered for a higher rank
  • If the tie still persists, the applicants who have secured higher marks in the section which is Current Affairs will be considered for a higher rank
  • If the tie still continues then, the candidate of older age will be preferred.

Compilation of AP LAWCET Result 2023

The following way the AP LAWCET is compiled:

Raw marks: In the first place, the marking scheme is used by the official authority to calculate the scores.

  • There will be 1 mark given to the applicants for every right response
  • No marks will be deducted for incorrect responses and also there will be no negative marking.

Merit List:  After the declaration of the AP LAWCET result, the merit list will be prepared. The preparation of the merit list is done on the basis of the marks obtained by the applicants in AP LAWCET 2023.

Determination of rank: The seat rank is done to the candidates on the basis of the marks secured in AP LAWCET 2023.


AP LAWCET 2023 Counseling

The applicants will be invited to the counseling process on the basis of the rank secured by the candidates. The counseling process is expected to be held in the month of June/ July 2023. The applicants need to submit their choices of colleges as per their preference for the admission process. The seat allotment to the candidate is done as per the filled choices, seat availability, rank, etc. The Counseling process will be done online mode and the verification of the documents will be done through web counseling. Candidates are required to make the payment of the counseling fees at counseling time. For the general category the fee is Rs. 1000 and for SC/ ST category applicant is Rs 500. After the completion of the counseling process, the applicants need to report to the assigned college along with the asked documents.
