National Law University, Delhi has released the AILET 2022 application on January 17, 2022. The last date to apply is April 17, 2022 25th May 2022. AILET 2022 (All India Law Entrance Test) is an Examination for the entrance at National Law University, Delhi, which is the topmost Law University in India. AILET 2022 Application Process

This section will enable an applicant to register for AILET 2022 step by step. The registration steps for the examination are listed below:

  • The registration form AILET 2022 will be available online.
  • From the first week of January 2022, applicants can submit the application form.
  • It will be the first week in April 2022 when the application process will be finished.
  • While doing the registration, applicants must submit a valid/working email ID & telephone number to be used further on the registration form.
  • Applicants are also required to upload a photograph of passport size and signature in the registration form.
  • Finally, it is recommended that applicants take several printouts of the application form for further use.

How to Fill the AILET 2022 Application Form? (Step by Step)

Step 1: AILET Registration

  1. Visit the Official website of AILET.
  2. Find and click on ‘Apply Online’ option.
  3. The applicant should fill out the details asked such as– Name, contact number, email ID of the candidate, parents’ name, address and date of birth.
  4. Once the applicant has filled put the application form,they should click on the Registration button.
  5. In the next step, the candidate be displayed a Application Locker page, whereby he or she has to confirm the details submitted in the previous step.

Step 2: Fill AILET Application Form

  1. The NLUs are listed and the applicant must select their preferred college from the list and just select “Click here to Apply.”
  2. Choose the the course from the menu on the next page.
  3. Select the button “Apply Now.”
  4. Once you have been redirected to AILET online application form, you must fill in the form.

Step 3: Uploading Images

  1. Upload a colored passport size photo recently clicked.
  2. The formats accepted are .bmp,.jpg and.gif.
  3. The photograph shall not be larger than 150 KBs.
  4. At least 75% of the photograph should have the person’s face.

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

  1. You can submit the application form fee online by credit card or debit card or even by net banking.
  2. The applicant must give card no., expiry date and CVV payment by means of a card.
  3. Net Banking applicants will be redirected to their respective bank’s website where the details of their account have been verified and the payment has been approved.

Application Fee:

  1. Students can submit the registration fee in both online and offline mode.
  2. Credit card, debit card or net banking is included in online payment.
  3. Applicants will be asked to deposit the money in the post office for offline mode.

AILET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the exam, students must qualify AILET 2022 Eligibility guidelines:

B.A., LL.B. (Hons): (Hons)

  • High school graduates who pass from a recognised board examination with a minimum score of 50%.
  • The required marks needed for the examination must be at least 50 percent. 
  • Those who are pursuing their final examination can also apply for the exam. 

For LL.M. Course:

  • The applicant must have graduated LL.B. or an comparable degree from the recognised university.
  • The applicant must achieve a minimum score of 55 percent in aggregate and 50 percent for those in ST, SC and PH categories
  • Candidates who are appearing in LL.B ‘s final year may also apply for the examination.

For PhD Course:

  • Those who have a master’s degree in Law from the renowned university may apply for the exam
  • The minimum required marks for those belonging to the general category is 55% and and for reserved category is .50%

AILET 2022 Exam Pattern

Applicants should read through the following details concerning AILET Exam Pattern:

For UG courses:

  • Exam Mode: The examin mode will be offline.
  • Medium: The Question paper medium will be in English.
  • Time Duration: Applicants will get 1 hour 30 minutes to attempt the question paper.
  • Questions Type: The question paper will be of objective type i.e Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
  • Total Questions: A total 150 questions are asked in the examination.
  • Marking Scheme: For every correct answer candidates will be rewarded 1 mark.
  • Negative marking: For every incorrect answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.

For PG course:

  • Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted in the offline mode.
  • Time Duration: The duration of the examination will be 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • No. of Questions: The question paper will consist of total 150 questions.
  • Questions Type: The question paper will be of objective type questions i.e Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ).
  • Medium: The medium of the question paper will be in English language.

For PhD Programs:

  • The examination pattern for PhD admission to NLU, Delhi, is quite different compared to UG and PG courses.
  • It is composed of 2 sections and will be an objective test based on Research Methodology and Legal Aptitude sections. 
  • The entrance test will be qualifying in nature, applicants will need to submit their Research Proposal on the desired topic to clear the minimum required AILET Cut off.

AILET 2022 Syllabus

English, Legal Awareness, Reasoning, Elementary Mathematics along with General Knowledge comprise the undergraduate entrance Syllabus.

  1. English: Reading Comprehension passages are based on Law themes along with grammar, vocabulary and verbal ability questions.
  2. Elementary Mathematics: Fundamental arithmetic skills are tested. Questions are framed around basic mathematical concepts and modern concepts as well.
  3. Logical Reasoning: Analytically comprehending of situations and conclusions that are logically driven comprise this section.
  4. General Knowledge: From static GK to current affairs every aspect is covered up in this section.
  5. Legal Aptitude: Legal propositions are put up for which answers are to be framed.

AILET 2022 Admit Card

Within the fourth week of April 2022, the AILET Admit Card will be made available. It’ll be released via online mode on the official site. Students will be able to download admit card by entering their ID & password for registration.

All applicants will be asked to carry admit card at the exam centre. Applicants are recommended to carry one valid ID document along with an admit card in the examination hall as well.

How to download AILET admit card?

  • Go to the official portal of NLU Delhi.
  • Login at the official portal and downlaod the admit card.
  • Choose your test centre city.
  • Make sure you choose an available test centre.
  • The admit card of AILET will be generated in downloadable pdf format.
  • Candidate can than download and take a printout of the admit card.

AILET 2022 Answer Key

In the immediate aftermath of the examination, NLU Delhi will publish a provisional response key for AILET 2022. The NLUD AILET provisional answer key 2022 will provide the official answers to all questions raised at the online examination. Thus, an applicant may be able to compare his answers and his chances of admittance with those given in the answer key.

The response key of AILET 2022 can be found online on the university’s official site. There will also be measures to challenge the answer key of AILET 2022. After considering all the concerns, the university will publish the final response key for AILET 2022. Note that the final answer key can not be challenged and the answer included in the final and correct versions are consequently considered.


AILET 2022 Result

Following publication of AILET 2022’s final response key, the AILET 2022 result announcement will be made. AILET 2022 results will be published in online mode by the university. For the undergraduate and post-graduate law programmes, AILET 2022 results will be announced separately.

Details such as student’s name and roll number, sectional and overall marks and the qualification status will be included in the AILET result. Those applicants who qualify for AILET 2022 are eligible for subsequent admission processes such as counselling and assignment of seats.

How to check AILET result 2022?

  • Go to the NLU Delhi Acceptance Website
  • Click on the tab of results
  • Choose the programme that applies for admission
  • Enter name, roll number, number and birth date.
  • The result of AILET 2022 is shown on the screen
  • Download the result and have it printed.

AILET 2022 Merit List

For all qualified applicants, the AILET Merit List will be announced. It will be declared in rank & category wise. The institution will publish a merit list based on the cut-off marks.

A separate merit list will be released by NLU. it will contain all the information & other details about the applicants.


AILET 2022 Counselling

AILET Counseling will take place in the NLU campus, Delhi, via offline mode. After the declaration of the result it is organised by the authority.

The consultation process is compulsory for all qualified applicants. Once the counselling round has ended, authority will conduct counselling on the spot. For counselling session, applicants whose name is included in the merit list can appear.
