3. Preparation

Start from the basics and cover topics one by one from your NCERT books. Almost about 80% – 90% of syllabus of biology comes from NCERT books.
Prepare Physics, Chemistry & Biology from your textbooks then come to reference books.
Make notes in your own language and handwriting from the beginning. Make separate notebooks for physics and chemistry formulas. Revise from these notebooks every day in the morning.
Make study time tableaccording to your available time period. Don’t forget your school studies because all the syllabus is based on it. Work according to your time table daily.
Add small break points after 2 or 3 hours of study. Do something that interests you in this break period. It will refresh your mind and will make you feel active.

4. Exercise and Diet

Let’s not ignore this important thing. Many a times, students ignore the importance of a healthy diet and exercise.
A healthy diet will ensure that you do not fall sick often. It will make you feel active instead of feeling tired all day long. Have a carbohydrates rich diet and ignore caffeine specially at night. Don’t drink tea too often.
Dedicating 20 to 30 minutes in the morning to exercise is not difficult. Regular exercise will make your body fit and active and will always keep you fresh.

5. Practice

Practice as much as you can because at the end it all comes down to your practice. If you are done with a topic, don’t put it aside. Revise it on a daily basis so that you won’t forget it.
Practice diagrams. Try to make them neatly and correctly and don’t forget to label them. Focus on small definitions and theorems.
Increase your speed by solving as much questions as you can per day. Solve assignments and online mock tests. Solve previous year question papers and sample papers.

If in any case, a teacher or mentor is not available, put your queries online and someone will answer it shortly. Taking the help of internet is a useful thing just ignore the distractions.
Use your phone less and stay away from social media. Do the things that make you feel light and happy. Go for a short stroll every evening.

7. Stay Positive

In the end, no matter what stay positive. Don’t over think about any situation and don’t over analyze things.
Believe in yourself.
Starting from the basics, study the hard concepts. Don’t leave any question or topic or theorem and practice as much as you can. Your hard work will pay off.
Try these tricks and practice a lot and remember 1 year is more than sufficient to prepare for any competitive exam. Don’t lose hope and always give your best.
Good luck.
