AFCAT 2021: The Air Force Common Admission Test is a national level exam and is popularly known as AFCAT. The exam of AFCAT is held twice in a year. The AFCAT exam is conducted by Indian Air Force to recruit the best candidates in all its three branches namely, the Technical branch, Non- Technical branch, and Flying branch.

AFCAT 2021 Application Form

The application form for AFCAT 2021  will be filled in online mode on the official website of the Indian Air Force. It may be assumed that the AFCAT-I examination will be held in the month of February 2021 while the AFCAT-II examination will be held in October 2021.

Here we have given step by step procedure to fill the online application form of AFCAT.
  • First of all, go through the official website of AFCAT i.e. www.afcat.cdac.in
  • Now, on the homepage, search and click on the notification option and then read all the notifications carefully.
  • After clicking the notification option, you have to fill the application form.
  • Before filling the application form, candidates first have to register themselves by entering some basic details such as Name, Mobile No., Email Id, etc.
  • To complete the registration process, candidates must have to submit the application form.
  • After the registration process, candidates will receive a new registration id and password on their registered contact details.
  • Now candidates need to login by using credentials and then start to fill the application form of AFCAT 2021.
  • After filling the application form, candidates have to upload a scanned copy of recent passport size photo and signature.
  • The required format of images should be in .jpg or .jpeg and the size should lie between 10 KB to 50 KB.
  • After uploading the documents, candidates have to pay the application fee.
  • After final submission of the application form, take a print out of the application form and fee receipt.

Application Fee

  • The required application fee for AFCAT 2021 exam is Rs.250/-.
  • The Payment of the application fee will be done in online mode by using various payment methods.

AFCAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

Candidates must have to be native of India.

A. Permanent Commission (PC) only for Male

The interested candidates will be able to join the Permanent Commission as an Officer. The selected candidates can continue their services till superannuation age with respect to the IAF Branch and according to their rank.

B. Short Service Commission (SSC) for both Male and Female

Ground Duty (Technical branch):

  • The candidates who have completed their graduation in engineering or in technology with at least 60% score in both A and B Section under Aeronautical Society of Indian or Associate Membership of Indian institute Engineers.
  • The age group to apply for this post should be lie between 18 to 28 years.

Ground Duty (Non-Technical branch):

  • The candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s degree in any subject with at least 60% of marks and also need to scare 60%  in both A and B Section under Aeronautical Society of Indian or Associate Membership of Indian institute Engineers.
  • The age group to apply for this post should be lie between 20 to 23 years

Flying Branch:

  • Candidates who have read class XII with Physics and Mathematics as a core subject.
  • Candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks in aggregate.
  • The age group of the candidates should not be more than 24 years of age.

There are some important points that are to be noted.

  • To apply for the AFCAT 2021 exam for any post,  the candidates must have to fit from both the aspects mentally and physically.
  • Any Physically challenged candidates are not permitted to appear for the test.
  • During the time of course completion, those candidates who are below the age of 25 years old then will not get permitted to be married until the completion of the course.
  • During the training period, the candidates are not allowed to be get married.
  • Those candidates who are divorced and widows/widowers will no more eligible to take part in this exam.

AFCAT 2021 Admit Card

The AFCAT 2021 admit card will be released in online mode on the official website of AFCAT just 7-10 days before the exam date. Candidates can download their admit card by using the Login Credentials.

AFCAT 2021 Result

After a few days of examination, the result of AFCAT 2021 will be released in online mode on the official website of AFCAT.

  • Here candidates have to enter the roll no., password, and captcha code.
  • After entering the details, your Result will be visible to you.
  • Now download it, and take a printout of it, in the same format as appearing on the screen.

Those candidates who will qualify for the written exam will have to face the SSB process or have to go for the interview round. The final list of results will be calculated on the behalf of marks obtained in written test and interview.


AFCAT 2021 Selection Process

The selection of the candidates will depend on the marks obtained in the written test followed by the screening tests and the medical fitness examination round.

  • After the written test, the Candidates will be shortlisted for a further round of selection as per the marks secured in the written exam.
  • The exam conducting authority will invite the candidates, for a screening test i.e.Stage-I Testing, on the basis of the written exam.
  • The Stage-I Testing will consist of Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception and Discussion Test.
  • After qualifying for the Stage-I testing round the eligible candidates will be called for the Stage-II Testing round for further process.
  • Stage II Testing will consist of Psychological Test, Group Test. This test is held to check the candidate’s interactive ability, conversation skills, Practical Knowledge, etc.
  • Those candidates who will qualify for the SSB exam or cleared the Interview round will be called for physical tests before offering the final letter of joining.
